Empowered Choices for Black & Biracial Women in Texas
Explore adoption options that respect your values, culture, and rights.
Your Choice, Your Rights
In Texas, restrictive abortion laws removing your right to terminate an unplanned pregnancy may limit your options, but you still have control over your child’s future. At Noire Adoption—a Black woman-owned and founded organization—we’re committed to ensuring that Black and biracial women have access to compassionate adoption options that align with their values and culture. Unlike adoption agencies in Texas, we offer a network exclusively of Black, biracial, and interracial families who will honor your child’s heritage. If you want ongoing updates on your child’s well-being, or even future visits, that is possible so you can stay connected as they grow up. We understand that not all pregnancies are made equal and this can be the worst time in a lot of women’s lives.

Overcoming Barriers to Representation
Many private adoption agencies will tell you that Black, biracial, or interracial adoptive families aren’t available. This often happens because high agency fees can price out many qualified Black families—families who have stable careers, own their homes, and live in welcoming, safe neighborhoods that could offer your child a wonderful life.
At Noire Adoption, we work to make adoption accessible for these families, ensuring that loving Black, biracial, and interracial families are available for you to choose from by increasing their exposure. Each hopeful adoptive parent listed on our site is home study-approved, meaning they have passed all required state background checks, and are ready to provide a nurturing, culturally affirming environment for your child.
We are also proud to support a diverse community of adoptive families, including single parents and same-sex couples, so that you can find the right family for your child—a family who truly respects and celebrates your child’s heritage.
Representation Matters in Adoption
In today’s social and political climate, it’s essential for Black and biracial children to grow up with families who reflect their heritage. Representation matters, and Noire Adoption provides the platform for expectant mothers to find families that celebrate African-American culture and understand the Black experience in America. Explore our waiting families to find those who can provide a nurturing, respectful, and culturally aligned home. With Noire Adoption, you can feel empowered to make the choice that’s best for you and your child.
FAQs
Can I choose a Black family for my child if I’m considering adoption?
Yes, absolutely. At Noire Adoption, we offer a network of waiting families who are all Black, biracial or interracial couples. You have the right to choose a family that aligns with your cultural values and identity.
If I’m in Texas and unable to terminate a pregnancy, what are my options?
Even if recent laws have limited some choices, you still have the power to make the best decision for your future. If you decide that you want to make an adoption plan you can find a culturally aligned family and staying connected to your child through ongoing updates or visits. You and the hopeful adoptive parents can work out an agreement that works for everyone and the emotional well-being of the adoptee as they grow up.
Why do some agencies tell me Black or biracial families aren’t available?
This can often be due to the high fees charged by most private adoption agencies, which may exclude many qualified Black families. Most average families can’t afford the upfront, lump sum adoption fees but CAN afford to give a child a great life. Just because the agency you called doesn’t have any Black or interracial families that doesn’t mean there are none at all.
What are my rights when choosing an adoptive family in Texas?
You have the right to choose who will raise your child, the right to request a family that respects & understands your culture. You have the right to to receive updates or arrange future visits if that’s what you prefer. You also have the right to have no contact if you choose.
