PRIORITIZING DIVERSITY IN ADOPTION
Adoption wasnโt built with Black families in mind. Weโre changing that.
Culture isn’t a detail. It’s who your child is.
Culture isn’t a small detail, it’s a core part of who your child is. Too often, Black and biracial children grow up disconnected from where they come from, and we’re here to change that. At Noire Adoption, we support expectant parents and hopeful families alike, matching children with families who will raise them in their culture, with love, pride, and connection. Because every child deserves to grow up rooted in exactly who they are.
Meet Jourdan
Your Adoption Bestie
I am mom through adoption and I have experienced both infertility and being a child of step-parent guardianship. Adoption was always part of the plan, my husband and I talked about adoption before we were even engaged. Both of us grew up around adoption and Black adoptees so it was never a taboo subject. If anything, I found it more shocking that there was such a lack of people of color within adoption being represented.
I started managing a Black adoption-centered support group on Facebook as a passion project to give back and help add insight into an overlooked portion of the adoption industry. Having had the same emotions and struggles as many other hopeful adoptive parents Iโve inadvertently become a resource to so many on my personal Instagram and in the community. I say all the time, I’m not super polished; I want you to think of me as your homegirl who adopted that can give you all the details on what you should and should not do. I believe that together we are building something amazing for our community!

Success Story
Noire Adoption is what’s been missing in the world of domestic adoption for Black and Brown Adoptive Parents and Birth Parents…
Truly, if it wasn’t for the founder, Jourdan Law and her team I would still be floating out there in the adoption abyss. They held my hand the entire time and encouraged me to be proactive when I would feel discouraged… Noire Adoption has made adoption and placement easier for adoption agencies who do not have the relationships with other communities and cultures… They’ve filled a major hole in the adoption world… I am eternally grateful I was referred to them by another adoptive parent. Because of Noire Adoption, I am a Mom today… Oh! and they made the process light and fun… that’s the other thing. They totally helped remove any stigma of the adoption process… Honestly if you’re reading this, you’re right where you need to be. Good luck on your journey :),
